EVALUATION SCRIPT/PLAN

I want to create a documentary that answers all the questions by using clips and images from the journey of creating the products. Aiming to create an informal, 'vlog' type of a documentary that is able to portray the work put into the production of our media products.

*clip of me talking*

We had to make a Music video with an unsigned artist, as well as two ancillary products with it

*show clips of music video and ancillary products*
*clip of me talking*

In this documentary I will answer the set questions for evaluation as well as further explain why we made certain decisions.

Question 1)

In what ways does your media product/s use  develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

To be able to plan our music video we had to research into music videos that had a similar genre as our chosen songs as we have to fit an image to our video (CARLSSON)
and narrative - not narrative performance cause our chosen artist was not available to meet- so we had o create a character that would not sing/vocal sync with the music
Therefore having to stick with a narrative music video so that's what we researched into.

*show prezi on music video research*  + voiceover

Lana del ray - voice over- extremely useful in explaining the narrative - show some of monologue, and vid
*show letters monologue*  - talk about the inspiration and costume - narrative
* continue with prezi screen vid*
*show small clip of John Newman - muted?*
John Newman - love me again - strong narrative and performance - talk about
costume and small details to set and characters.
star image convention - we challenge that out of compulsion to due our artiste being unable to be present in our production.

2) HOW EFFECTIVE IS THE COMBINATION OF YOUR MAIN PRODUCT AND ANCILLARY PRODUCTS TEXTS?

*vid of me talking*

Talk about what our products are: music video, poster advert and digipak.
We had used a theme throughout - a 1950s in the music video, used the same actress in the advert
 - digipak has some stills from the video as well as photos taken at the time of the shoot on the same sets.

*Show video, relative videos that match the ones on the poster and digipak*

(talk about why it should be effective- because of marketing purposes )

The poster had to show some relation to the video, that way audiences can establish a connections.

and digipak - raf made it
*video or voice over of how effective she thinks the combination of the main product and digipak is -
*then video of me talking further about what she said*

research into adverts - ben howard- its simplicity- you see the name and matching picture to the album art
Nina Nesbitt - image of herself - she wants to be the image of her own music

3) WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT FROM YOUR AUDIENCE FEEDBACK?

*vid of me talking*
created four music video drafts

1st one- class mates and teacher feedback - too much walking and certain clips were very long ( edited it out and included some other unused clips

2nd- questionnaire and social network sharing - didnt get what she was looking for - need more emotion to be shown (filmed more footage)

3rd- more teacher and quesstionaire feedback -  beginning was kind of empty- (then made monologue)

4th- final product was created.

Poster- created questionnaire asking which out of the 11 types of the posters we should use.

found out which was the most popular and developed them further.

Using audience feedback was useful because when creating a product, someone can't always find their own faults on a video or know what else to add, and we've found that with our audience feedback we were able to further develop our video to the standard we wanted.

4) HOW DID YOU USE MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES IN THE CONSTRUCTION AND RESEARCH, PLANNING AND EVALUATION STAGES
